Future support for Saving the Pigeonnier will be used carefully and transparently to help protect and restore this historic site.

Our first priority is to obtain appropriate professional architectural and structural advice so that the condition of the pigeonnier can be properly assessed and a clear restoration plan developed.

As the project progresses, funds may be used towards:

• professional surveys, architectural and structural advice
• urgent stabilisation and weatherproofing where required
• traditional materials appropriate to the buildings
• skilled local craftspeople and specialist restoration work
• restoration of the pigeonnier and, as plans develop, other parts of the historic farmstead
• associated research, planning and professional costs

The wider vision includes the farmhouse façade, the barn and roof, the ancient well and the remains of the cave associated with wine production. Any work will be guided by appropriate professional advice and undertaken in stages as funds, permissions and circumstances allow.
